2025 cycle complete — no call letter pending
The 2025 prelims (3 Oct 2025) and mains (8 Nov 2025) call letters were the ones that carried your exam centre. The cycle has since ended with the post-medical list of 14 May 2026, and LIC has not yet announced the next AAO notification.
In 2025 call letters were downloaded through a link on licindia.in › Careers (hosted by IBPS) using your registration number / roll number and password / date of birth. LIC does not send call letters by post; it sends download intimations by email and SMS.
How exam centres were allotted
Annexure I lists separate prelims and mains centres for each state and UT, and the mains list is much shorter — Andhra Pradesh, for example, had 8 prelims centres but 3 mains centres, and Bihar 6 and 4. Some states and UTs, such as Manipur, Puducherry and Tripura, had prelims centres but no mains centre. LIC can cancel or add centres, and you travel to the centre at your own risk and expense.
How the call letter download worked
- Watch for the intimationLIC posted the download link on licindia.in › Careers from 7 days before each online exam, and sent an email and SMS.
- Log inEnter your registration number or roll number and your password or date of birth.
- Download the information handoutIt came with the call letter and set out the exam pattern and the rules for the day.
- Check the venue and reporting timeThe handout suggests visiting the venue a day before; latecomers are not allowed. Print any revised call letter if LIC asks you to.
- Print and paste your photoUse a recent, recognisable photograph — preferably the one you uploaded with your application.

The core documents were the same; the mains added Aadhaar authentication and an early reporting time.

Valid photo ID: PAN card, passport, permanent driving licence, voter’s card with photo, bank passbook with photo, gazetted-officer ID letter with photo, recent university ID card, Aadhaar card with photo, employee ID or Bar Council ID. E-Aadhaar, ration cards and learner’s licences are not accepted. The ID photocopy is handed in with the call letter (the mains handout asked for the two to be stapled together), and the name on the ID must match the call letter exactly.
