This Privacy Policy explains how JobSafal (जॉबसफल) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information. JobSafal is an exam-revision app for Indian government-exam aspirants, built and operated by BeWorld (AI Innovators), Hyderabad, India. By using JobSafal, you agree to the practices described below. This policy is aligned with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to run your account, deliver your study experience, take payments, and improve the app.

Account details	Your phone number (for OTP login), name, chosen language, and the exams and exam dates you select.
Verification	One-time passwords (OTPs) sent to your phone by SMS.
Device & session	A device identifier, app version, and push-notification token, used to keep you signed in on one device and send reminders.
Study activity	Concept-revision progress, quiz and mock-test attempts, scores, streaks, and weak-topic analytics.
Payment data	Subscription and trial status. Card, UPI, and bank details are handled by our payment partner; we do not store your full payment credentials.
Referrals	Your referral code and records of referrals made or redeemed.
Downloads	A log of premium PDF notes you download, including timestamp and IP address, to prevent misuse.
Support & technical	Crash reports, diagnostic logs, and anything you send us when you contact support.

We do not collect sensitive documents such as Aadhaar, PAN, marksheets, or admit cards.

2. How We Use Your Information

To sign you in, keep you signed in on a single device, and remember your preferences.
To generate daily study plans, sync concept progress across your exams, and surface weak areas.
To start your trial, manage your subscription, and apply referral bonuses.
To send study reminders, streak alerts, and account or payment notifications.
To understand feature usage, fix bugs, and improve the app.
To detect fraud, abuse, and misuse of downloaded notes.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on a small set of trusted providers, each receiving only the data it needs:

MSG91 — delivers OTP and account SMS.
Razorpay — processes trial and subscription payments.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — sends push notifications and supports single-device login.
PostHog — product analytics to understand feature usage. Usage events are currently processed on PostHog's servers in the United States.
Sentry — crash and error monitoring.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts our servers, database, and file storage in the Mumbai region.

Your core account and study data is stored in India. Analytics data processed by PostHog is handled in the United States; we limit what is sent and avoid unnecessary personal identifiers.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your primary data is stored on AWS servers in the Mumbai region. Your phone number and account data are encrypted at rest, and traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Only one device can be signed in to your account at a time, and internal access to user data is restricted and logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access.

5. Analytics & Cookies

Inside the app, we capture in-app events (such as completing a concept or submitting a quiz) to understand usage and improve the product. Our website may use essential cookies to keep the site working and to measure basic traffic. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.

6. Data Retention

While your account is active, we retain your account and study data so your progress is available to you.
After you delete your account, your data is soft-deleted immediately and permanently purged within 30 days.
Security and audit logs are retained for up to one year, then automatically removed.
Temporary watermarked PDF downloads are cleared automatically within 24 hours.

7. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act

As a user in India, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate details, request erasure of your data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance about how we handle your data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@mybeworld.com.

8. Deleting Your Data

You can delete your data in two ways:

In the app: go to Profile → Account → Delete Account. Your data is soft-deleted immediately and permanently purged within 30 days.
By email: write to contact@mybeworld.com from your registered phone number or account details and ask us to delete your information. We will verify your request and delete your data within 30 days.

Once deleted, your account, study progress, and personal details are removed and cannot be recovered. Some records may be retained for a limited period where required by law (for example, payment records held by our payment partner). Anonymised statistics may be retained for research and product improvement.

9. Children's Privacy

JobSafal is intended for people preparing for government exams and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use JobSafal after an update means you accept the revised policy.
