No window is open — the 2025 one closed on 8 Sep 2025
For the 2025 (32nd batch) recruitment, LIC accepted applications online only, from 16 August to 8 September 2025, with fee payment over the same dates. One application covered one post across the AAO (Generalist), AAO (Specialist) and Assistant Engineer notifications — if a candidate applied more than once, only the latest completed application was kept and the other fees were forfeited. LIC has not yet announced the next cycle.
When the next notification comes, apply only through the link on licindia.in › Careers (in 2025 it opened a registration portal hosted by IBPS). Have a webcam or phone for the live photo and your scans ready, so you can finish in one sitting — and check the new PDF, as dates, fee and steps can change.
How the 2025 application worked
- Open the Careers linkOn licindia.in, open “Careers” and the AAO (Generalist/Specialists/Assistant Engineers) 2025 recruitment link, which led to the online registration page.
- Register as a new candidateChoose “Click here for New Registration” and enter your name, contact details and email ID. Note the provisional registration number and password, which were also sent by email and SMS.
- Upload scans & live photoPhotograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration, plus a live photo captured through a webcam or by scanning a QR code with your phone.
- Fill details & centre choicesUse “Save and Next” to check each page; spell your name as on your certificates. The exam-centre preferences had to be three different cities.
- Preview, submit & payPreview the form and click “Final Submit” only when everything is right — no changes were allowed afterwards. Then pay online and wait for the e-receipt.
- Print & keepPrint the e-receipt and the application form. A signed printout of the application had to be submitted at the interview, if shortlisted.

Scan & upload specs
An unclear photograph, signature, thumb impression or declaration could get an application rejected, and LIC said the fee would not be refunded if the photo or signature didn’t meet the specs. The 2025 specs from the notification:
| Upload | Format | File size |
|---|---|---|
| Photograph | JPG/JPEG, passport-style colour photo (200 × 230 px preferred) | 20–50 KB |
| Signature | JPG, black ink on white paper (140 × 60 px preferred) | 10–20 KB |
| Left thumb impression | JPG/JPEG, 3 cm × 3 cm (240 × 240 px at 200 DPI) | 20–50 KB |
| Handwritten declaration | JPG/JPEG, 10 cm × 5 cm (800 × 400 px at 200 DPI) | 50–100 KB |
| Live photograph | Captured in the form by webcam or phone | — |
The declaration reads: “I, ____ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.” It must be in your own handwriting, in English and not in capital letters; a signature in capital letters is also rejected. Visually impaired candidates who cannot write could upload a typed declaration with their left thumb impression below it.
