The CGL 2026 application window runs from 21 May to 25 Jun 2026 on ssc.gov.in. You first complete a one-time registration (OTR), then fill the CGL-specific form and pay the fee.
Apply only on the official portal. Have your OTR credentials, a scanned photo and signature, and your certificate details ready to finish in one sitting.
How to apply online
- Complete OTR registrationOn ssc.gov.in, do the one-time registration with your basic and education details (skip if already registered).
- Log in & open the CGL formSign in and select the SSC CGL 2026 “Apply” link.
- Fill the applicationEnter post preferences, exam-city choices and category details.
- Upload photo & signatureUpload scans that meet the size and format specs.
- Pay the feePay ₹100 online (if applicable) via UPI, card or net-banking.
- Submit & saveSubmit the form and save the confirmation PDF for your records.

Photo & signature specs
Uploads that don’t meet SSC’s specs are the most common cause of rejected forms. Typical requirements:

Exact dimensions and size limits are stated in the notification — follow those precisely. A recent photo (as per the notice) is mandatory.
