What exists for SBI SO past papers
SBI’s advertisements and notices for the 2026-27 Law and Bank Medical Officer posts don’t include past question papers or answer keys. The closest official material is the two “Acquaint Yourself” booklets released for the 23 August 2026 test. They contain sample Reasoning, English and (for BMO) Quant questions. For Professional Knowledge, they say only that questions will be in the area of the post.
Why the official samples are worth your time
With no past papers, the booklets are your best guide to how the test looks and feels. Here’s what they give you:
See the real format
Five options per question, one question on screen at a time, and separately timed sections you can’t move between.
Plan for the shared timer
Law: 60 aptitude questions in 45 minutes. BMO: 50 aptitude questions in 45 minutes. The samples show what that pace means.
Know the marking
The Law booklet confirms there’s no penalty for wrong answers. The BMO booklet deducts one-fourth of a question’s marks.
Every test has to be cleared
The aptitude tests are qualifying, so a weak section can end your candidature even with a strong Professional Knowledge score.
Official SBI SO documents
These are SBI’s own PDFs for the 2026-27 written-test posts, linked straight from sbi.bank.in. The booklets carry the sample questions, and the advertisements carry the Professional Knowledge syllabus.
How to use the official material
Reading the booklet once won’t change your score. This routine will.
- Read the booklet end to endThe exam-day rules, section timing and on-screen navigation are all set out in it, and none of it should surprise you on test day.
- Solve the samples against the clockTime yourself at the real pace — 45 minutes for all the aptitude questions together.
- Map the syllabus to your sourcesUse the advertisement’s Professional Knowledge list as a checklist against your own law or medical study material.
- Law: practise typed answersThe descriptive test means answering 5 of 8 questions in 45 minutes, typed on the computer with no spellcheck. Practise writing at that pace.
- BMO: practise accuracyWith ¼ of a question’s marks lost per wrong answer, track how many of your guesses actually pay off.
Key areas from SBI’s documents
The aptitude chips are the question types in SBI’s sample questions; the Professional Knowledge chips are from each advertisement’s syllabus. Neither is exhaustive.
