Two advertisements — released 24 Jun 2026

State Bank of India published both advertisements on its careers page on 24 June 2026. Online registration and fee payment for both ran from 24 June to 14 July 2026. SBI’s careers page says call letters were issued for the online written examination held on 23 August 2026, for the Law posts and for BMO. As of 12 October 2026, SBI had not posted the written-test result or announced interview dates for either post. Any change or corrigendum is posted only on SBI’s careers page, so check it there.

Released · 24 Jun 2026

Read the advertisement for your post from start to finish. It sets the eligibility date (31 May 2026), the experience you need, the fee, the test pattern, the interview and the pay. The Law and BMO advertisements differ on most of these points, so don’t rely on a summary that mixes them.

Other 2026-27 regular SO posts are filled by shortlisting and interview only, with no written test: Trade Finance Officer–IBG (CRPD/SCO/2026-27/15, 35 posts) and Manager (Manpower Planning & Recruitment) and Manager (Learning & Development) (CRPD/SCO/2026-27/12, 1 post each). They have their own advertisements and are not covered on these pages. Both the Law and BMO advertisements also carry a CIBIL clause: unpaid loan or credit card defaults not regularised by the offer letter make you ineligible for appointment.

FAQ

Notification questions, answered

Yes. For the regular posts with a written test, SBI released CRPD/SCO/2026-27/02 (Assistant and Deputy Manager, Law) and CRPD/SCO/2026-27/03 (Bank Medical Officer) on 24 June 2026. Registration ran from 24 June to 14 July 2026 and is now closed. The online written test was held on 23 August 2026. The result and interview dates had not been announced as of 12 October 2026.
No. Each specialist post has its own advertisement, eligibility and selection method. The Law and BMO posts have an online written test followed by an interview, but their test patterns differ. Other 2026-27 regular posts, such as Trade Finance Officer and the two HR manager posts, are filled by shortlisting and interview only.
Assistant Manager (Law): 20 (SC 3, ST 1, OBC 5, EWS 2, UR 9). Deputy Manager (Law): 27 (SC 4, ST 2, OBC 7, EWS 2, UR 12) plus 2 ST backlog vacancies. Bank Medical Officer: 35 across 14 circles (OBC 4, UR 31). SBI says all numbers are provisional and may change with the Bank’s actual requirement.
₹750 for General, EWS and OBC candidates, and nil for SC, ST and PwBD candidates, for both advertisements. It was payable online only, from 24 June to 14 July 2026. It can’t be refunded or adjusted against any other exam or selection.
Yes. Both advertisements say candidates who have defaulted on loans or credit card dues and not regularised them by the date of the offer letter are not eligible for appointment. If you have repaid but your CIBIL record is not yet updated, you must get it updated or produce a No Dues Certificate from the lender.
