No answer key in the SBI SO 2026 documents
Advertisements CRPD/SCO/2026-27/02 and /03 and the two Acquaint Yourself booklets for the online test don’t mention releasing an answer key or taking objections. The online written test was scheduled for 23 August 2026. The next official step is the written-test result and the interview shortlist, which hadn’t been published on SBI’s careers page as of 12 October 2026.
Be careful with “official answer key” links on other sites. SBI posts all updates for these recruitments only on its careers website, sbi.bank.in. You can still check your attempt against the marking rules below.
Scoring at a glance
How SBI turns your answers into a score
- Only saved answers countAn answer is saved only when you click “Save & Next”. Answers that are saved, or answered and marked for review, are evaluated, and the system saves your answers automatically when time runs out.
- Marks for correct answersEach test has a fixed number of questions and marks. Law Professional Knowledge has 50 questions for 50 marks; BMO Professional Knowledge has 50 questions for 100 marks.
- Wrong answers — BMO onlyIn the BMO test, a quarter of the question’s marks is deducted for every wrong answer. The Law test has no negative marking.
- Blank answersA question you leave unanswered carries no penalty in either test.
- Rounding — BMOThe BMO booklet says that if the total penalty for a test comes to a fraction, the marks obtained are rounded off to the nearest integer.
Score rules that matter after the exam
These come straight from the two advertisements and their Acquaint Yourself booklets:
Where to raise a query
Neither advertisement provides a way to challenge individual answers. For any other query, both point to the “Contact Us” link on SBI’s careers website.
- Check SBI’s careers page firstAll changes, updates, corrigenda, results and shortlists are hosted only on sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings.
- Keep your details readyHave your registration number, roll number and advertisement number (CRPD/SCO/2026-27/02 or /03) to hand.
- Write to SBIUse the “Contact Us” link at
sbi.bank.in/web/careers/post-your-query, as named in both advertisements. - Know what’s finalSBI’s decisions on eligibility, the conduct of the interview and other tests, and selection are final and binding, and it doesn’t entertain representations about them.
- Technical problemsIf a problem affects the exam, SBI will try to fix it, which may include moving candidates to another venue or computer, or holding another exam if it considers it necessary.
SBI also compares each candidate’s responses with those of other candidates to detect patterns of similarity. If it finds that answers were shared and the scores aren’t genuine, it can cancel candidature.
Estimate your Professional Knowledge score
Even without an answer key, you can estimate your Professional Knowledge score if you remember your attempt. That’s the paper that decides the merit (together with the descriptive test for Law). Use the rule for your post.
BMO: score = marks for correct answers − ¼ × marks of each wrong answer
Law: score = marks for correct answers
Unanswered questions score zero and carry no penalty. For BMO, the total penalty is rounded to the nearest whole number. Check your reasoning and English separately, because you must clear SBI’s minimum in those papers too.
This is a worked example, not real data. SBI gives marks per test, not per question; if marks were spread evenly, a question would be worth 2 marks in BMO Professional Knowledge (50 Q, 100 marks) and 1 mark in Law Professional Knowledge (50 Q, 50 marks). The Law descriptive test (50 marks) isn’t objective, so you can’t estimate it this way.
