CEN 09/2025 vacancy at a glance
CEN 09/2025 (31 January 2026) lists 22,195 vacancies in Level 1 of the 7th CPC pay matrix across 16 zonal railways. The CEN says these are provisional and may increase or decrease as per the needs of the Railway administrations.

The 16 railway totals add up to 22,195, the figure on page 4 of the CEN. Community-wise (UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS), ExSM, CCAA and PwBD numbers are given post by post for each railway in Annexure-B, and the CEN doesn’t print an all-India community-wise total; check your railway’s table in the official CEN and corrigenda.
