Phase II result out — interviews next
The RBI Services Board published the General cadre Phase II result in August 2026 as a list of roll numbers shortlisted for interview. RBI has not published interview dates — call letters go to shortlisted candidates by e-mail — and the final result comes only after the interviews. No date has been announced for it.
RBI posts every result for this recruitment on rbi.org.in and opportunities.rbi.org.in. JobSafal does not host results — always check there. Interview call letters are e-mailed only to registered addresses, from noreply.samadhan@rbi.org.in, so check your spam and junk folders as well.
Result at a glance
DEPR and DSIM have their own result notices (Phase II: DEPR, DSIM). Their merit lists add Phase I marks as well, and their marks for every stage are shown only after the final result.

How scores are worked out and used
The advertisement’s scheme of selection (Appendix II) and the Phase I and Phase II information handouts set out these rules:
Final merit list
For the General cadre, the merit list adds your Phase II marks — Papers I, II and III, 300 marks — and your interview marks (75), plus grace marks where the rules in force allow. Phase I marks are used only for shortlisting and are not added. The personality assessment before the interview carries no marks and is not part of the final selection.
The Board sets minimum qualifying standards for the exam and the interview in relation to the number of vacancies, and its decision is final. Eligibility is verified at the interview stage: if any claim in your online application turns out to be wrong, your candidature is cancelled then.
How RBI Grade B cut-offs workWhat happens after the Phase II result
Making the interview list isn’t the finish line — documents, the personality assessment and the interview remain.
- Biodata & documentsGeneral candidates on the list had to e-mail their filled-in biodata and scanned certificates to documentsrbisb@rbi.org.in by 2 September 2026, from their registered e-mail ID, as two PDFs: one for the biodata and one for all other documents.
- Personality assessmentA link and instructions arrive by e-mail. Complete it within five days of receiving the e-mail. It carries no marks.
- Interview (75 marks)The call letter with date, time and venue comes by e-mail. Bring a printout with a recent photograph pasted on it, the originals of your eligibility documents and one self-attested set. Date of birth is checked only against the matriculation or secondary school leaving certificate. You can take the interview in Hindi or English.
- Final result & scorecardsRBI publishes the roll numbers of recommended candidates; Phase II and interview scorecards and cut-offs follow after it. Appointment is on probation for two years (extendable up to four), and you can be posted anywhere in India.
