Applications closed on 20 May 2026
Online registration and payment of the fee or intimation charges ran from 29 April to 20 May 2026 (till 6 PM) on RBI’s website. Applications were accepted online only. A two-day edit window followed on 25–26 May 2026 for a handful of fields, and after it closed no change of any kind was allowed. The next RBI Grade B advertisement has not been released yet. New notices appear on RBI’s vacancies page.
When the next advertisement comes out, apply only through RBI’s official website. Use an e-mail ID and mobile number you will keep active, because RBI sends advices such as admit cards and interview call letters only that way. Keep your category, age and qualification certificates ready too. They aren’t uploaded with the form, but they must be dated on or before the closing date and are checked at the interview.
How the online application worked
- Check eligibility firstRBI admits everyone who applies with the fee and checks eligibility only at the interview stage. If you don’t meet the conditions as on the eligibility date (1 April 2026 for this cycle), your candidature is cancelled then, so check before you apply.
- Open the online applicationOn rbi.org.in or opportunities.rbi.org.in, open advertisement RBISB/DA/01/2026-27 and follow its online application link. Appendix I of the advertisement has the detailed instructions for filling in the form.
- Fill in your details & centresChoose the post (General, DEPR or DSIM — the advertisement lets you apply for either DEPR or DSIM, not both), your category and exam medium. Then pick four preferred centres for Phase I and four for Phase II. The two sets can be different.
- Upload your scansUpload your photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten undertaking in the format Appendix I specifies.
- Pay the feePay the application fee or intimation charges online. Bank and transaction charges are yours to pay. Applications without the fee are rejected.
- Submit once & keep your RIDSubmit one complete application. If you submit more than one, RBI considers only the last completed one with the higher Registration ID (RID). A fee paid against one RID isn’t adjusted against another.

Edit window: what you could change
After registration closed, RBI opened an edit window from 25 May 2026 (10 AM) to 26 May 2026 (6 PM). Only candidates who had submitted a complete application with the fee could use it, and only once. The correction fee was ₹200 including GST for every category, and it can’t be refunded. These are the fields RBI’s notice allowed:
| Field | Could be edited? |
|---|---|
| Exam centre | Yes |
| Medium of exam | Yes |
| Father’s name & mother’s name | Yes |
| 10th / 12th percentage | Yes |
| Name, e-mail ID, mobile number, correspondence & permanent address | No |
| Post, category & nationality | No |
Only the latest modified application counts. If you had submitted more than one application, RBI asked you to edit only the latest one. After 26 May 2026 no change was allowed in any circumstances, and a request to switch category later is not entertained. If you didn’t have the required category certificate by the closing date, the advertisement says to apply under the General (GEN) category.
