FAQ

Syllabus questions, answered

Four parts in one computer-based paper — Part A General Knowledge/Current Affairs (50 questions), Part B Reasoning (25), Part C Numerical Ability (15) and Part D Computer Fundamentals (10). That’s 100 questions for 100 marks in 90 minutes.
The notice says the question paper is of matriculation (Class 10) level, even though the qualification required to apply is 12th pass.
0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. With 100 questions for 100 marks, each question carries one mark.
Part D covers MS Word basics (opening, creating and formatting documents), MS Excel (spreadsheet elements, editing cells, functions and formulas), e-mail, and the Internet — URL, HTTP, FTP, websites, blogs, browsers, search engines, chat, video conferencing and e-banking.
No. The paper has no separate English or Hindi language part. The questions themselves are offered in English and Hindi only.
No written syllabus. The PE&MT is a 1600 m race, a long jump and a high jump, then height and chest measurement. It is qualifying and conducted by Delhi Police in Delhi.
