What the Delhi Police cut-off means
There are two cut-offs in this exam. The CBE cut-off is the normalized mark of the last candidate shortlisted for the Physical Endurance & Measurement Test and Document Verification (PE&MT/DV), which Delhi Police conducts. SSC released it on 19 June 2026. The final cut-off comes with the final result, which SSC prepares from CBE merit for candidates who qualify the PE&MT and DV. It has not been released yet.
CBE cut-off: male (open) and female
First you need the minimum qualifying marks in the CBE (normalized, without NCC bonus): 35 for UR, 30 for SC/ST/OBC/EWS and 25 for ESM. Beyond that, SSC shortlisted candidates category-wise in order of merit. The cut-off below is the total marks of the last candidate shortlisted in each category.
| Male · Open | Vacancies | Shortlisted | Cut-off (/100) | Last selected: Part A / B |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UR | 1,733 | 3,751* | 70.05181 | 27.50 / 22.50 |

Male (open) cut-off, visualised
The same 19 June 2026 cut-offs for the Male (Open) sub-category as bars, out of 100 normalized marks. UR and OBC closed at exactly the same mark.
For women, the cut-offs were UR 63.52622, OBC 63.05564, EWS 61.55681, SC 54.60305 and ST 49.06871.
Cut-off for ex-servicemen (ESM)
Ex-servicemen vacancies are only in the male post and are split into two sub-categories: ESM (Others) and ESM (Commando). The ESM minimum is 25 marks. Where the cut-off shows 25.00000, every eligible candidate who reached the minimum was shortlisted, and the write-up gives no last-candidate details.

What decides the cut-off
SSC doesn’t fix a cut-off in advance. Each one is the mark at which that sub-category’s shortlist fills up. Four things shape it:
Vacancies per sub-category
About 12 candidates per vacancy are shortlisted, so the more seats a category has, the further down the merit list the cut-off goes.
Normalization
The CBE ran in many shifts from 18 Dec 2025 to 6 Jan 2026, so SSC normalized scores (formula of 2 June 2025) before setting any cut-off.
The minimum qualifying mark
No one below 35 (UR), 30 (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) or 25 (ESM) is shortlisted, even if seats remain — which is why many ESM cut-offs sit at 25.
Merit at UR standard
Reserved-category candidates who score at the UR level count against unreserved seats, which pushes the UR cut-off up.
How the final merit cut-off works
PE&MT is qualifying only. Candidates who qualify the PE&MT and DV are placed in the final merit list on the basis of their CBE marks. NCC certificate holders (C 5%, B 3%, A 2% of maximum marks; not for ex-servicemen) and RRU degree/PG diploma holders (5%, 4%, 3% or 2% by class) get bonus marks in the final result, but only if they produced the supporting documents at PE&MT/DV. SSC prepares a provisional select list category-wise (UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS and ESM), separately for men and women.
Ties are resolved by Part A marks, then Part B marks, then date of birth (older first), then alphabetical order of names. A reserve panel of 15% is prepared and handed to Delhi Police in a sealed cover. The final cut-offs will come with SSC’s final result.

Turn the cut-off into a target score
A cut-off only helps if you know where you stand against it. Use the 2025 figures for your category as a target, and practise with JobSafal until your mock scores sit comfortably above it.
Score vs cut-off
Compare your mock scores with the 2025 CBE cut-off for your sub-category and category.
Personal target score
Set a target above the last shortlisted mark and track the gap after every test.
Timed practice
Build the pace the CBE needs: 100 questions in 90 minutes, with 0.25 deducted for a wrong answer.
