Who made the PE&MT/DV shortlist
From SSC’s CBE result of 19 June 2026 (Lists I and II). Marks are normalized, out of 100, and exclude NCC/RRU bonus; “last shortlisted” is the score of the last candidate called in each category.
| Group | Vacancies | Shortlisted | Last shortlisted (marks) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Male — Open | 4,189 | 38,559 | UR 70.05 · OBC 70.05 · EWS 68.55 · SC 62.84 · ST 60.08 |
| Male — Ex-Servicemen (Others) | 271 | 2,186 | UR & OBC 28.80 · EWS, SC & ST 25.00 |
| Male — Ex-Servicemen (Commando) | 365 | 3,096 | 25.00 in every category |
| Female | 2,376 | 22,235 | UR 63.53 · OBC 63.06 · EWS 61.56 · SC 54.60 · ST 49.07 |

Group totals are our sums of SSC’s category-wise figures. In Male — Open, 5,035 EWS, 1,197 SC, 267 ST and 10,546 OBC candidates qualified at the UR standard; among women, 2,751 EWS, 758 SC, 128 ST and 5,422 OBC did. In Ex-Servicemen (Others) ST, 25 candidates were shortlisted against 36 vacancies. SSC withheld 11 results for suspected malpractice and did not process 423 candidates found indulging in malpractice.
Normalization, bonus & tie-breaks
Because the CBE ran in multiple shifts, SSC normalized marks using the formula in its notice of 2 June 2025, and those normalized marks were used for the shortlist. To be considered for the PE&MT/DV you needed at least 35 (UR), 30 (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) or 25 (ex-servicemen), without bonus; candidates were then shortlisted category-wise on merit, around 12 times the vacancies. NCC bonus (C 5%, B 3%, A 2% of maximum marks; not for ex-servicemen) and the RRU degree/PG diploma bonus (2–5%) are added only in the final result, for candidates who produce the documents at the PE&MT/DV. Equal scores are separated by Part A marks, then Part B, then the older candidate, then alphabetical order of name.
