Photo & signature specs
Uploads that don’t meet SSC’s specs are a common cause of rejected forms. From the notice:
| Upload | Format | Size |
|---|---|---|
| Photograph | Live photo captured in the form | — |
| Signature | JPEG scan, about 6.0 cm × 2.0 cm | 10–20 KB |
The photo must be captured live in good light against a plain background, without a cap, mask or spectacles — a photo of an existing photo is rejected. Forms submitted through Aadhaar-based authentication are not rejected on photo or signature grounds.
