The GD 2026 notification (1 December 2025) lists 25,487 tentative vacancies — 23,467 for men and 2,020 for women — across BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, Assam Rifles and SSF. Final vacancies may still change.

Force-wise spread
CISF alone accounts for more than half of the 25,487 posts. SSF vacancies are filled on an all-India basis; every other force fills its vacancies state-wise, with separate quotas for border districts and Naxal/militancy-affected districts.
