What the result shows
Going by the GD 2025 result, the CBE result and the documents released with it cover:
Merit list & force allocation
PET/PST and the medical exam are qualifying. The final merit uses your normalized CBE score plus any NCC bonus. Selection is made category-wise, separately for men and women, for each State/UT and its Border and Naxal/Militancy-affected district areas. SSF is filled on an all-India basis. Your force is allotted by merit and the order of the seven force preferences you gave in the application form.
You can’t change your force preferences or domicile state/district after applying. SSC prepares no reserve or waiting list. In GD 2025, unfilled seats were carried forward to the next year’s recruitment by the forces.
