Tentative answer key — window closed
The GD 2026 CBE was held from 27 April to 31 May 2026. SSC put up the tentative answer keys with candidates’ response sheets on 15 June 2026 and accepted challenges until 6 PM on 20 June 2026. SSC’s notice says the response sheets and tentative keys are not available after that window, and individual requests for them will not be entertained.
The next step is the final answer key. SSC uses it to prepare the CBE result and puts it up, along with your marks, after the result is declared. You’ll need your Registration No. and password to view it.

The response sheet
The response sheet records your attempt question by question. SSC’s notice points out a few things about it:
How challenges worked
If you thought a key was wrong, you could challenge it online during the window. SSC reviews the challenges before finalizing the keys, and its decision is final.
- Log in to the challenge moduleUse your Registration No. and password during the window.
- Find the questionThe module shows the questions in the same order for everyone in your shift, which may differ from what you saw in the exam.
- Challenge in your exam mediumYou could raise a challenge only in the language you chose for the exam, though you could view questions in Hindi and English.
- Pay the fee₹50 per question or answer challenged.
- Submit before the deadline6 PM on 20 June 2026. Late challenges, or challenges sent any other way, were not accepted.
SSC’s detailed rules for challenges are in its Challenge/Objection Management System guidelines, issued in a notice dated 10 April 2026. The final answer keys reflect the challenges SSC accepted.
Calculate your expected score
Match your response sheet against the key and apply the GD marking scheme: 80 questions of 2 marks each, with 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
Score = (Correct × 2) − (Wrong × 0.25)
Count your correct and wrong answers from the response sheet and plug them in. Unattempted questions score zero.
This is your raw score against the tentative key. SSC normalizes scores across shifts and adds any NCC bonus (8, 4.8 or 3.2 marks for ‘C’, ‘B’ or ‘A’ certificates), so your final figure can differ. GD has a single CBE — there is no second written stage.
