GD 2026 key dates
SSC published the GD Constable 2026 notification on 1 December 2025 and took applications until 31 December. The computer-based exam (CBE) was held from 27 April to 31 May 2026, and the tentative answer keys came out on 15 June. The CBE result and the PET/PST shortlist are the next step; SSC has not given a date for them yet.

Application, fee and correction dates are from the GD 2026 notification (1 Dec 2025). The tentative 23 Feb start is from SSC’s notice of 2 Jan 2026; the actual CBE dates (27 Apr–31 May 2026) and the answer-key window are from SSC’s notice of 15 Jun 2026. SSC shortlists about 8 times the vacancies for PET/PST, state-wise, area-wise and category-wise, separately for men and women.
PET/PST admit card
Issued by CRPF, the nodal force, on crpf.gov.in about two weeks before the test. CRPF’s recruitment helpline is 011-26160255.
Medical & documents
About 2 times the vacancies are called for DME/DV. Keep your domicile certificate, 10th certificate and any category or NCC certificate ready.
