Prelims call letter — out; Mains next
SBI’s careers page shows the Prelims call letter as available for download. It carries your centre, date and reporting time for the Preliminary exam, which the advertisement put tentatively in September 2026. The next one is the Mains call letter, for candidates shortlisted in the Prelims result, ahead of the Mains tentatively in November 2026.
Download your call letter and the “Acquaint Yourself” booklet from the SBI website with your registration number and password / date of birth. SBI does not send hard copies by post; call letters and advice reach you by email and SMS.
How exam centres are allotted
Annexure I lists one tentative set of centres for both Prelims and Mains across 35 states/UTs — for example Maharashtra 16 centres, Tamil Nadu 16, Uttar Pradesh 15 and Andhra Pradesh 11. SBI can cancel or add centres. You travel at your own risk and expense, and no travelling allowance is paid. The local language test, where it applies, is held at a centre in the state you applied for, decided by SBI, also at your own expense.

Accepted photo ID: passport, Aadhaar, PAN card, driving licence, voter’s card, bank passbook with a duly attested photograph, an identity card issued by your school or college, or a letter from a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead — in original, with a self-attested photocopy. Without the photo pasted on the call letter or the two extra photographs, you will not be allowed to sit the exam.
