No answer key in the SBI Clerk 2026 documents
Advertisement CRPD/CR/2026-27/17 and the prelims “Acquaint Yourself” booklet don’t mention releasing an answer key or taking objections. The prelims was scheduled tentatively in September 2026 and its call letters are out; the Mains is tentatively in November 2026. SBI makes the results of candidates provisionally qualified for selection available on its website, but it hasn’t announced result dates.
Be careful with “official answer key” links on other sites. SBI asks candidates to check its careers website, sbi.bank.in, for details and updates on this recruitment. You can still check your attempt against the marking rules below.
Scoring at a glance
How SBI turns your answers into a score
- Only saved answers countIn the online test, an answer is saved only when you click “Save & Next”. A question you answer and mark for review is also evaluated. When time runs out, your answers are saved automatically even if you haven’t clicked “Submit”.
- Marks for correct answersEach test has a fixed number of questions and marks. For example, prelims Numerical Ability has 35 questions for 35 marks.
- Penalty for wrong answersFor every wrong answer, a quarter of that question’s marks is deducted. This gives your corrected score.
- Blank answersA question you leave unanswered carries no penalty. To skip one, don’t click any option, or use “Clear Response” to remove an answer.
- Language versionsQuestions appear in English and the language applicable to your state. The booklet says the English version prevails if the two differ.
Score rules that matter after the exam
These come straight from the advertisement and the prelims booklet:
Where to raise a query
The advertisement doesn’t provide a way to challenge individual answers. For problems with the application, fee or call letters, it gives a helpdesk number and a grievance portal.
- Check SBI’s careers page firstSBI posts details and updates for this recruitment on sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings.
- Keep your details readyHave your registration number, roll number and the exam your query is about to hand.
- Call or log a queryCall 022-22820427 (11 AM–5 PM, only on bank working days) or log in at
cgrs.ibps.in, with ‘Recruitment of Junior Associate-2026’ in the subject. - No answer challengeThe advertisement doesn’t set out a challenge process, fee or deadline for answers.
- Technical problemsIf a problem affects the exam, the booklet says SBI will try to fix it, which may include moving candidates to another venue or computer and holding the exam again if it considers it necessary.
SBI also compares each candidate’s responses with those of other candidates to detect patterns of similarity. If it finds that answers were shared and the scores aren’t genuine, it can cancel candidature.
Estimate your corrected score
Even without an answer key, you can estimate your score test by test if you remember your attempt. SBI Clerk has no sectional cut-off, so the aggregate is what counts — but a test-by-test estimate shows where your marks went.
Score = marks for correct answers − ¼ × marks of each wrong answer
Work it out for each test, then add the tests up for your aggregate. Unanswered questions score zero and carry no penalty.
This is a worked example, not real data. In the prelims, all three tests have as many marks as questions (30/30, 35/35, 35/35). In the Mains, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude has 50 questions for 60 marks, so take a quarter of each question’s own marks as the penalty. The Mains is judged on the aggregate out of 200 against SBI’s minimum.

See after every mock which test is pulling your corrected score down.
Cut negative marks
Practise deciding when to skip, since every wrong answer costs a quarter of the question’s marks.
