CEN 06/2026 · CBT DATES NOT ANNOUNCED

RRB NTPC Exam Analysis 2026 · how the CBTs are built

RRB doesn’t publish a shift-wise paper review. What it does publish — the CBT structure, marking, normalisation and, after each stage, answer keys and RRB-wise cut-offs — is laid out here, with the 2025 cycle as a reference.

Overview

RRB NTPC exam analysis — what’s official

Shift reviews you see online, with “difficulty levels” and “good attempts”, are unofficial estimates — RRB publishes no such figures. For CEN 06/2026 no CBT has been held yet; RRB will announce the dates on its websites. This is what the official documents tell you about the papers.

How the cut-off is really set

There is no single all-India cut-off. RRBs publish cut-offs RRB-wise, post-wise and category-wise on normalised marks, and the CBT-1 cut-off follows from the 15× shortlisting rule — how many candidates the RRB needs for CBT-2 — not only from how hard the paper was. For example, in the 2025 cycle RRB Chandigarh’s UR cut-off for Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist was 82.51 in CBT-1 and 74.71 in CBT-2 (out of 100).

FAQ

Analysis questions, answered

No. RRB doesn’t publish difficulty levels or “good attempts”. After a CBT it lets candidates view questions, responses and keys, and later publishes results and RRB-wise cut-offs. Any shift review elsewhere is an unofficial estimate.
Not announced yet. RRB says CBT and DV dates will be communicated through the RRB websites. The exam city intimation comes about 10 days before the exam and the e-call letter about 4 days before.
When a CBT runs in multiple sessions for the same syllabus, RRB normalises marks across sessions. Shortlisting for CBT-2 and for document verification uses these normalised marks.
CEN 06/2025 (Graduate) CBT-1 was held from 16 to 27 Mar 2026, with the result on 11 Jun 2026. CEN 07/2025 (Undergraduate) CBT-1 was held on 7–9 May and 13–20 Jun 2026.
