The CEN 06/2026 window runs from 8 Oct to 6 Nov 2026 (23:59) on rrbapply.gov.in, and fee payment for submitted applications is allowed till 8 Nov. If you created an account for an earlier RRB notification (2024, 2025 or 2026), log in with the same credentials instead of making a new one.
Apply only through the link on the official RRB website, and submit just one application to one RRB — multiple applications are all rejected and lead to debarment. Finish well before the last day; RRB warns of heavy website traffic in the final days.
How to apply online
- Create an account (or log in)On rrbapply.gov.in, create an account with your own mobile number and email (OTPs go to both). Nothing in this form — not even mobile or email — can be changed later. Authenticate with Aadhaar or DigiLocker.
- Choose your RRBYou can pick only one RRB, and the choice is final. Transfers to another Railway aren’t registered until 5–10 years of service, so choose with care.
- Fill the application & preferencesEnter your name, parents’ names and date of birth exactly as in your Class 10 certificate, give your order of Post (Zone) preferences, and pick the exam medium.
- Capture photo & upload signatureThe form captures a live photo through your webcam or phone’s front camera; then upload your scanned signature (JPG/JPEG, 30–49 KB).
- Pay the feePay ₹500 or ₹250 online by net banking, debit/credit card or UPI, and confirm your Aadhaar-seeded bank account for the refund.
- Submit & saveThe application is accepted only after the fee payment is confirmed by email and SMS. Note your registration number.

Photo & signature specs
Blurred, illegible or non-standard photos and signatures can get your application rejected at any stage. The specs in CEN 06/2026 (Para 14.4–14.5):

For the live photo: plain white background, head filling at least half the frame, eyes fully open, no cap, mask or spectacles, and non-white (preferably plain dark) clothing. Never photograph an existing printed or digital photo — such applications are summarily rejected. A signature in block or capital letters is also a ground for rejection.
