No answer key in the IBPS Clerk 2026 documents
The CRP CSA-XVI notification of 1 Aug 2026, the corrigenda of 21 Aug and 29 Sep 2026, the prelims Information Handout and the IBPS 2026-27 calendar don’t mention releasing an answer key or taking objections. The prelims was scheduled for 10–11 Oct 2026 (IBPS calendar). The next official step is the prelims result, tentatively in November 2026.
Be careful with “official answer key” links on other sites. IBPS posts every announcement for this recruitment only on ibps.in. You can still check your attempt against the marking rules below.
Scoring at a glance
How IBPS turns your answers into a score
- Marks for correct answersEach objective test has a fixed number of questions and marks. For example, prelims English Language has 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Penalty for wrong answersFor every wrong answer, a quarter (0.25) of that question’s marks is deducted. This gives your corrected score.
- Blank answersA question you leave unanswered carries no penalty.
- NormalisationIf the exam runs in more than one session, corrected scores are normalised using the equi-percentile method.
- Two decimal placesScores are worked out to two decimal places, and the cut-offs are applied to these.
Score rules that matter after the exam
These come straight from the notification and the prelims Information Handout:
Where to raise a query
The notification doesn’t provide a way to challenge individual answers. For queries or complaints about the recruitment, it points you to the IBPS grievance portal.
- Check ibps.in firstEvery announcement for CRP CSA-XVI is posted only on the official IBPS website.
- Keep your details readyHave your registration number and the exam your query is about (prelims or Mains) to hand.
- Log in to the grievance portalGo to
cgrs.ibps.infor queries and complaints. - Know what’s finalIBPS’s decisions on shortlisting and provisional allotment are final.
- No claim to a re-testIf a technical problem affects the exam, any re-exam is at IBPS’s absolute discretion.
IBPS also checks candidates’ responses and logs for unusual similarity of right and wrong answers. If it concludes that answers were shared and the scores aren’t genuine, it can cancel candidature without notice.
Estimate your corrected score
Even without an answer key, you can estimate your score test by test if you remember your attempt. Then compare each test with the sectional cut-off rule.
Score = marks for correct answers − ¼ × marks of each wrong answer
Work it out separately for each test, because cut-offs apply test by test. Unanswered questions score zero and carry no penalty.
This is a worked example, not real data. In the prelims, all three tests have as many marks as questions (30/30, 35/35, 35/35). The Mains is different: Reasoning Ability has 40 questions for 60 marks, and General / Financial Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude have 40 questions for 50 marks each, so take a quarter of each question’s own marks as the penalty. In the Mains, you also need to clear the minimum in each test and the minimum total.

Daily targets, PYQ practice sets & timed mocks — built around the IBPS Clerk pattern.
Turn your score check into a plan
An estimated score helps most when it shows you where marks slipped away. Use it to find your weak test, then practise that section with JobSafal, whether you’re heading to the Mains or planning your next attempt.
Section-wise analysis
See after every mock which test is pulling your corrected score down.
Cut negative marks
Practise deciding when to skip, since every wrong answer costs a quarter of the question’s marks.
Timed mocks
Separately timed sections, just like the real prelims and Mains, so you build the right pace.
PYQ practice sets
Previous-year questions with solutions, so your practice matches what IBPS Clerk asks.
