Prelims done — Mains call letter next
The Prelims call letter (August 2026) carried your Prelims centre; the exam was set for 29 August 2026, as per the IBPS tentative calendar. If the Prelims result (Sep/Oct 2026, tentative) shortlists you, the Mains call letter is due in October 2026 for the Mains on 1 November 2026, as per the IBPS tentative calendar.
Download every call letter from ibps.in with your registration number and password / date of birth. IBPS does not send hard copies by post or courier; it sends intimations by email and SMS to the contact details in your application.
How exam centres are allotted
Annexure II lists separate Prelims and Mains centres for each state and UT, and in many states the Mains list is shorter — Andhra Pradesh, for example, has 11 Prelims centres but 4 Mains centres (Guntur/Vijayawada, Kurnool, Vishakhapatnam, Vizianagaram), and Tamil Nadu 12 Prelims but 5 Mains centres (Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Namakkal, Tirunelveli). IBPS can cancel or add centres. You travel to the centre at your own risk and expense.
