Mains done — Phase III call letters next
The prelims and Mains call letters have already been issued. The prelims were held on 1–2 August 2026 and the online Main exam on 12 September 2026. Next comes the Phase III call letter for the psychometric test, group exercise and interview, which the advertisement tentatively puts in October/November 2026. It goes to candidates shortlisted in the Mains result, which hadn’t been published as of 12 October 2026.

What to check on your call letter
Check these as soon as you download. Your signature at the exam must match the one you uploaded, and SBI won’t change the centre, date or session on request.
What to take with you
These come from the advertisement (paras 10, 14 and 15 and the important instructions) and SBI’s Acquaint Yourself Booklets for the prelims and the Mains. Bring whatever your call letter asks for.
⚠ Without your original photo ID and a photocopy, or a call letter with your photo pasted on it (and, in the prelims, two extra photographs), you won’t be allowed to take the exam. At the Mains, SBI registered candidates by photo capture and an IRIS scan of the left eye (right thumb impression for VI candidates), so be ready to remove contact lenses, and wash any mehndi or ink off your hands beforehand. SBI may also verify your Aadhaar online.
Not allowed inside the exam centre
The Mains Acquaint Yourself Booklet lists these items, and para 17 of the advertisement bans mobile phones even when switched off. Breaking the rules can lead to cancellation of your candidature and a ban from future exams. SBI doesn’t guarantee safe storage for anything you bring.
Only a transparent water bottle is allowed. SBI also advises against wearing rings, earrings, nose-pins, chains, pendants, badges and brooches.
