How scores are worked out and shared
The CRP RRBs-XV notification sets out these rules for Officer Scale-I scores:
Merit list & state-wise allotment
Only Online Main exam marks count for shortlisting to the interview and for the final merit list. In each category, up to three times the declared vacancies of each state can be called for interview. The interview carries 100 marks, and Mains and interview are weighted 80:20. You must qualify in both and rank high enough to be considered for provisional allotment, which for Officer Scale-I is restricted to the RRBs of the state you opted for.
Minimum interview marks: 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD). Clearing each test alone may not be enough — your total must also be high enough in merit. If two candidates have the same score, the older candidate is placed higher. A reserve list may be drawn in each category, but it does not guarantee allotment.
How IBPS RRB PO cut-offs workWhat happens after the Mains result
Clearing Mains isn’t the finish line — these steps remain before you join an RRB.
- Document upload & interview call letterUpload scanned copies of your eligibility documents through the link IBPS gives, and download your interview call letter from ibps.in (tentatively January 2027).
- Common interviewHeld at select centres in January/February 2027 (tentative), coordinated by the nodal RRBs with NABARD and IBPS. Bring originals plus self-attested copies of the listed documents.
- Provisional allotmentTentatively February/March 2027, to an RRB of the state you opted for, based on merit and the actual vacancies the RRBs report.
- Offer & joiningThe allotted RRB issues the offer of appointment and handles verification and joining — IBPS has no role in that step.
